As part of WAYPOINT’s rebranding efforts, we identified the need for a fresh and engaging banner for our website. To capture attention and convey our dynamic creative spirit, I focused on designing a banner with animation in mind. Animated banners often draw more interest than their static counterparts, offering an interactive experience that captivates viewers and enhances user engagement.

For the initial two proposals, I utilized a range of techniques to create a visually compelling animated banner. I started by experimenting with different cloud brushes, meticulously masking their edges to achieve a more realistic and textured effect. This attention to detail ensured that the animated clouds appeared natural and seamlessly integrated with the overall design.

In Proposal 1, I envisioned a banner where an airplane wing, subtly animated, moves slightly up and down, as well as side to side. This gentle motion, coupled with the drifting clouds, responds to the viewer’s mouse movements, creating an immersive experience that invites exploration. The interaction between the moving elements and the user's actions enhances the sense of dynamism and engagement.

Currently, the banner image on the WAYPOINT website features a video of someone drawing with a Wacom tablet, highlighting our commitment to creativity and design. The white text on this banner is set to a low opacity with a drop shadow to ensure it stands out against the background.

Envisioning this animated banner on other mediums, such as flyers, brochures, or booklets, opens exciting possibilities. The animation and design elements could translate well into print formats, bringing a touch of our digital creativity to traditional materials. It’s an exciting prospect that demonstrates how versatile and impactful our rebranding efforts can be.
