MISSION
Do you want to be part of an exciting company focused on the video game industry? We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead 2D Character Artist to guide our team in creating visually stunning and innovative character designs. You will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining the artistic vision for various projects while mentoring and inspiring a team of skilled artists.
YOU
- Lead the creation of high-quality 2D character designs, from initial concept to final artwork, ensuring consistency and alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with art directors, designers, and other stakeholders to define the visual direction and style of characters.
- Review and provide feedback on character concepts and designs from team members, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Develop detailed character sheets, including turnarounds, expression sheets, and costume breakdowns for production teams.
- Act as the primary liaison between the character art team and other departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
- Set up and maintain pipelines, workflows, and best practices for the character art team to improve efficiency and output quality.
- Mentor and coach junior artists, helping them develop their skills and grow within their roles.
- Research and implement current industry trends and techniques to push the creative boundaries of character design.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of professional experience in character design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar tools, with expert-level skills in rendering, anatomy, and composition.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of character designs, styles, and techniques, including detailed turnarounds and expression sheets.
- Experience leading a team of artists, providing constructive feedback, and managing project timelines.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with animation or game production pipelines is a plus.
- Good English (written and spoken).
