Dead by Daylight is a survival horror game developed by Behaviour Interactive. The game features a roster of “Killers” and “Survivors”; the Killer player spends the match trying to capture and kill the Survivors, who in turn must escape and hide. Several of the Killers and Survivor are based on other pop culture horror titles such as Amanda Young from SAW, Ash from Evil Dead, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, and many others. With such a large roster of characters, we had a lot of fun in building and designing products for the official Dead by Daylight merch store. We introduced many customizable items based on player’s favorite characters such as perk pillows and coasters. We also tapped into the horror genre for the apparel design, using callbacks such as 80’s-style VHS movie covers.
